Mangaluru, Dec 16: Sai Radha TVS, authorized dealer for TVS Motor Company, was inaugurated by Sri Laxmivarateertha Swamiji of Shiroor Math, Udupi at Upper Bendore near St Agnes College here on Wednesday December 16.
The programme began with lighting of the lamp by Sri Laxmivarateertha Swamiji, urban development minister Vinay Kumar Sorake, sports minister Abhaychandra Jain and other dignitaries.
Addressing the gathering, Sri Laxmivarateertha Swamiji said, "This city has many names. It got the name Mangaluru from the holy temple of Mangaladevi located in the city. Yesterday when I saw the picture of this showroom in newspaper, it looked like a boat. Unlike the many boats which come to the Mangaluru port, this is a stationary boat which does not move. The architecture of this showroom has increased the beauty of the city. Sai Radha Group has achieved success in its various ventures and given employment to a large number of people. Not everyone can do that, it requires God's grace. I congratulate the Group on its new venture. I wish Sai Radha Group and its employees peace and happiness in all their future endeavors."
Fr Antony Serrao, parish priest of Bendore Church, addressing the gathering said, "Sai Radha Group has made a good name with its different businesses. Now it has stepped into the motorcycle field too and provided employment to a number of people through this new showroom. I congratulate and wish the Group all success."
Jacintha Vijay Alfred, mayor of Mangaluru City Corporation said, "I congratulate Sai Radha Group and wish all success for this new venture. Mangaluru is a growing city and more business enterprises need to come up here."
Shashidar Hegde, corporator, said, "Mangaluru is growing at a high pace. The city got 98 percent marks in the Smart City evaluation and topped the state. There are new roads and footpaths being constructed by the city corporation, and at the same time, Mangaluru is going to be developed into a Smart City. There is a need for more investment in the city. If investors join hands with the government and the city corporation, Mangaluru will become the number one city in the country."
First 15 owners of brand new TVS two-wheelers were handed over the keys and Mahesh Kanolkar, architect of the building was honoured on the occasion.
Corporator Sabitha Misquith, managing director of Sai Radha Group Manohar S Shetty, TVS Motor Company regional sales manager Arun Kumar, regional manager (service) Jyothi Pashupathi, area manager (sales) Abhijith Deshpande and others were present.
