Mangaluru, Dec 21: The driver of a car had a providential escape in an accident which occurred between a bus and a car on national highway 66 near Beeri check-post, Kotekar on Monday December 21 morning.

The car driver has been identified as Azeem (23) from Uppala. He was travelling to Uppala from the city when the accident took place.

While avoiding a truck that had been parked in front of the Beeri check-post, Azeem drove further and in the process, his car collided head-on with a KSRTC bus that was bound for the city from Kasargod. The car suffered heavy damages in the accident.

While Azeem escaped miraculously in the accident, a few passengers in the bus suffered minor injuries.

A large number of people had gathered at the spot after the accident. At this point, a middle-aged man, who was apparently heavily drunk, started behaving in an unruly manner with the police. The police initially warned him to control himself but he continued to misbehave. The police, who got angry thereupon, took him away and subjected him to medical tests.

First of all we have to blame our administration for these kind of accident. There is no proper space or parking place for these trucks at forest/sales tax check posts. The truckers park middle of NH it create sever traffic movement in these areas. No where in the world except in India you can find cars/trucks park on the highway to pay tax in the check post.

looks you are also of same category. first of all, lot of issues are there to handle. and above that you want this gentleman to be handled in a respected manner. I would appreciate , take him and give nicely in the station for creating public nuisance. Next time when he touch the glass he will remember to stop at his capable limit. If drunk to the extreme and create nuisance at public, he should be punished... let's support to clean up the society than supporting these creatures.

Think even the Hyundai manufacturers will be surprised that their car customer survived in this accident! Maybe they will be able to see more clearly their ' assembly' of car here than in their manufacturing depot! They might even a prize for the survivor and make him their Model! SRK in any case is old now isn't he??
