Mangalore, Aug 27: A ‘School Dental Health Programme’ will be organized by the district unit of Indian Dental Association (IDA) in collaboration with Colgate Palmolive (India) Ltd here, on Tuesday August 28.
Addressing the media persons programme chief coordinator Dr Sanjay Nayak Sujir said that the campaign would cover about 50,000 students from around 120 schools in and around the city. The said programme will be inaugurated on August 28 at the Canara Girls High School (Dongerkery) auditorium.
IDA former national president Prof U S Krishna Nayak and Yenepoya Dental College principal Prof B H Sripathi Rao will be the guests.
The programme will continue for 30 to 40 days during which time a talk will be given on dental health care with the help of audio- vishual aids and demonstrations on proper oral hygiene techniques. A dental heath pack free of cost will be given to each student who attends the programme, informed Dr Nayak.
