CM Kumaraswamy Inaugurates Various Developmental Works near Bantwal

Bantwal, Aug 27: The chief minister H D Kumaraswamy, who is on Dakshina Kannada tour now, inaugurated many projects and laid foundation stone for various works near B C Road bus stand on Monday Augsut 27.

The deputy chief minister B S Yediyurappa, who is also on Dakshina Kannada tour, inaugurated the stage programme. K Padmanabha Kottari, MLA of Vittal, presided over the function and delivered introductory note.

Zilla Panchayat president Sushma Janardhan, vice-president Rajeshwari Hegde, MP D V Sadananda Gowda, deputy commissioner M Maheshwar Rao and others were present on the occasion.

Accident changes route:

The convoy of chief minister had to change the route to B C Road, owing to the series of accidents on National Highway (NH) 48 between B C Road and Mahaveer Cirlce in Mangalore. Kumaraswamy travelled through Ullal-Mani road and reached B C Road. Even the deputy chief minister, other JDS, BJP leaders and journalists’ vehicles followed chief minister's car.

The accident took place at Thumbe, near B C Road on Monday August 27after a bus collided with a lorry which rammed into tempo and a truck. Many passengers, including the drivers of the vehicles were injured in this accident.
