Modi meets Afghan Chief Executive Abdullah


Kabul, Dec 25 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who dropped in at Kabul on Friday on his way back from Moscow, met with Afghanistan's Chief Executive Officer Abdullah Abdullah.

“Widening the #IndiaAfghanistan friendship. PM @narendramodi meets CEO @DrAAbdullah following his Parliament speech,” external affairs ministry spokesman Vikas Swarup tweeted with a picture of the two leaders.

The meeting was held after Modi's address to the Afghan parliament, the new building of which he and Afghan President Ashraf Ghani inaugurated.

Earlier, Modi and Ghani held delegation-level talks over breakfast.
