Hosapete, Dec 28: Hosapete town in Bellary district has been tense after a person distributed pamphlets containing anti-Hindu comments on Sunday, December 27.
Police on late Sunday night arrested Khajapeer who is a photographer by profession for printing and distributing the pamphlets.
Part of the writing on the pamphlet read that "Pro- Hindu organisations have been persistently committing atrocity against the Muslim community. If the situation continues, we are compelled to go the houses of the members of these organisations and kill them. This is just a warning. If you consider me as just photographer and ignore me, ISIS type of organisations will have to be formed even here."
A group which was upset after reading the pamphlets went to Khajapeer's house and took him to task. After the police intervened further damages could be avoided. Police also took prohibitory measures and imposed section in the taluk to control l the situation.
Meanwhile some organisations have called for Hosapete bandh on December 29.
