Inauguration of digital printing chain: ‘Digigo’ franchisee was inaugurated at Hebri on Tuesday, August 28. ‘Digigo’ is a part of the well known Manipal Press and India’s first digital printing chain.
’Digigo’, which started a new revolution in digital printing provides fully colorful, high quality, complete personal service and quick supply service at reasonable prices.
At ‘Digigo’ all kinds of visiting cards, invitation cards, calendars, photo albums, brochures, project works, posters, stickers, etc are designed and printed.
ITC’s Bingo launch: The food division of ITC limited launched their latest products under the brand name ‘Bingo’ here, recently.
According to a press release, the products are essentially snacks which include potato chips and finger snacks.
Three-day Jatha by farmers: The Taluk Raitha Hitharakshana Vedike will be staging a 3 day ‘Jatha’ of farmers from Sullia ending at Mangalore on Sept. 8.
Farmers will be demanding from the government immediate financial relief to areca nut growers. The DK farmers had suffered about 60 to 70% loss in yields due to fruit rot and disease and heavy rains, stated a release.
The said Jatha will be passing by Jalsuru, Kumbra, Puttur, Mani, Kalladka, B C road before finally culminating at Nehru Maidan in Mangalore, where a mammoth public rally will be held, informed the vedike activists in a release.
Mid-day Meal in College: Madhav Pai Memorial College (MPM) in Manipal has started a free mid-day meal for select under-graduate students from the present academic year. Currently a total of 60 students are getting free meals everyday, and they have been selected on the basis of their financial background.

Dental Home launched: A ‘Dental Home’ was launched by the department of Pedodontics and Preventive Children’s Dentistry of A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences in Deralakatte here recently. This is meant exclusively for children and is the first of its kind in the country, informed a press release here.
Further as per the release, the Director of the Centre for Advanced Dental and Stomatognathic Studies Prof (Dr) N Sridhar Shetty inaugurated the programme which is an adaption of the Dental Home concept prevailing in America
The centre aims to provide comprehensive screening and treatment to children from infancy through anticipatory guidance in oral health care, which will later be extended.
