Mumbai, Dec 28: “There is a need of unity among Brahmins. Our rights will be materialized only when we are united. Let us identify the talents among us, provide professional education to our children and lead the society,” said Mahajagathu Saligrama Mumbai president U N Aithal.
He was speaking after presiding over the annual friendship meet held at Gokula, Sion east on Sunday, December 27.
Chief guest, BSKB association president Dr Suresh S Rao Kateel, guest of honour Reliance company senior official B Narayan were present.
They lit the traditional lamp and set the programme in motion. Social leaders Seetharathna Navada, B Sharada Rao and S Parameshwarayya were felicitated on the occasion.
Secretary P C N Rao welcomed. Priest Subrahmanya Aithal read scriptures. Working committee member H K Karanth introduced the guests. Treasurer Deepak Karanth, Ramesh M Rao and P C N Rao introduced the felicitated dignitaries.
Vice president P V Aithal compered the formal programme. Nagarathna Holla compered the cultural programme.
