Mangalore, Sep 1: Youth convention of Indian Catholic Youth Movement Kinnigoli deanery was held at Niddodi church auditorium near here recently.

Fr Alfred D’Souza, dean of Kinnigoli deanery inaugurated the convention. Fr Jossy Fernandes, parish priest of Niddodi, Fr Alban D’Souza Kinnigoli deanery ICYM director and Kevin D’Souza former ICYM Mangalore Central Committee president were present on the dais.

Rohan D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Later, well-known trainer Lesly Rego taught the youth about ‘success in life.’ A discussion about ‘Political Awareness and Youth Problems,’ was held in the afternoon.

Fr Jerome D’Souza, Fr William Martis, Sushil Noronha and Alban Rodrigues participated in this discussion.

The valedictory function was held in the evening. Fr Anil D’Souza, director of ICYM Mangalore Central Council, was the chief guest. Royson Pinto welcomed the gathering. Jyothi Saldanha presented annual report. Nisha D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks and Glen D’Souza compered the programme.

About 125 youth participated in the programme.
