Mumbai, Sep 1: Walter D’Souza and Leo Fernandes, were elected as vice-president and chief secretary respectively of Maharastra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) Human Rights' division, during the meeting held recently at St Jude School Auditorium, Jerimeri, Andheri East.

Innumerable members of Hindu, Christian, Muslim and other castes and religions attended the meeting.  Vilas Lateh, director of Revathi Films was the chief guest present.  Human Rights district president, Suresh Jain was the guest of honour. 

Human Rights' Ayub Khan, Leo Fernandes, Sadanand Ghate, Walter D’Souza were present at the dais.  The elections were held for MPCC Human Rights division on the same occasion.  Leo Fernandes and Walter D’Souza were elected as district vice-president and chief secretary respectively.  The elections for office-bearers of taluk and wards too were held at the same occasion.

Suresh Jain welcomed.  Walter D’Souza welcomed the guests with bouquet.  Leo Fernandes, proposed vote of thanks.  Walter D’Souza hails from Kalmady in Udupi district while Leo Fernandes hails from Ujire near Beltangady in DK.
