Udupi: ‘Muddu Krishna’ Competition for Kids Held at Kaup

Udupi, Sep 2: As the birthday of Sri Krishna has neared, the competitions for toddlers donning Lord Krishna's costumes would be conducted in various parts of coastal area. Hence, this is a special occasion for the kids to become lord Krishna.
Accordingly, ‘Muddu Krishna’ (toddlers donning lord Krishna's costumes) competition was held at Kalikamba temple Kaup, on Sunday September 2, under the auspices of Junior Chamber International (JCI), Kaup.
JCI Kaup president, Anil Kumar inaugurated the programme. Sridhar Shenoy, managing trustee of Kaup Halekote Mariamma temple, Vasudev Acharya, managing trustee of Kaup Kalikamba temple and Hariprasad Rai, editor of ‘Udaka’ magazine were the chief guests present.
JCI Kaup president, Vinay Kumar presided over the function. Project director Rajendra B K and secretary Sandeep Shetty, were present on the dais.
The competition was held for nursery, LKG-UKG and Class I and II students. A total of 150 children participated in this competition.
