Shimla, Jan 7 (IANS): The hills of Himachal Pradesh on Thursday saw cloudy skies but temperatures remained below freezing in many areas of the state despite prevailing dry conditions.
"There are chances of rain and snow in the state till Saturday," an official of the Met Office here told IANS.
Keylong, district headquarters town of Lahaul-Spiti, was the coldest in the state at a minimum temperature of minus 7.2 degrees Celsius.
Kalpa in Kinnaur district saw a low of minus one degree, while the minimum temperature was one degree degrees in Manali, 6.8 degrees in Dharamsala and 1.2 degrees in Dalhousie.
The minimum temperature in the state capital Shimla was five degrees.
