Bangalore, Sep 4: Two suspects in the Hyderabad twin blasts case were brought to Bangalore on Monday for narco-analyses test, a senior police official attached to the Karnataka anti-terrorist cell said.
A five-member team of Hyderabad Special Investigation Team (SIT) brought Syed Imran Khan and Abdul Kaleem. The duo is alleged to be associated with Abu Hamza, a Bangladesi national who masterminded the blasts.
Imran and Kaleem were arrested on charges of providing shelter to Shoaib Jagirdar from Maharashtra, who was arrested in connection with the Mecca Masjid blast in May this year. Around 16 people were killed and over 100 were injured in the blast.
Kaleem had secured 50 SIM cards and probe is on to find out who he had secured the SIM cards for, the official said.
The duo will be subjected to narco analysis tests for two days, he added.
Meanwhile, another SIT team reached Bangalore on Sunday in search of Rizwan Gazi, another suspect and brother to Shafirafsanjani, who was arrested by the Hyderabad cops on September 1 for travelling without valid documents. Rizwan had fled to Bangalore after the blasts.
