Udupi, Sep 4: Milagres College at Kallianpur near here has won the Mangalore University Chess Championship in women's section which was held at Upendra Pai Memorial College Manipal on recently.
They defeated St Agnes College to claim the coveted crown. Men's team of Milagres College was runners-up in their category as Canara College Mangalore defeated them in the title round.
Shantharam, the registrar of Academy of General Academy presented the prizes.
