Mangalore, Sep 4: Sri Krishna Janmashtami has turned the Mangalore city into a fantasy land. To add further colour to this moment, famous Sandalwood stars have arrived in the city on Tuesday September 4.

Sanjana Gandhi, the lead actress of superhit Kannada movie ‘Mungaru Male’ reached the city, along with other stars, Digant, Tarun, Sitara and choreographer, Harsha on Tuesday afternoon;.

A press meet was held at Hotel Abhiman Residency thereafter with these stars. The stars expressed their feelings and shared information on film industry.

Sanjana Gandhi, hailing from Mumbai said that she has learnt Kannada now-a-days and can speak little bit of Kannada.  She has not received any offer from Bollywood however, so far. On the other hand, she is busy in Kannada film industry, with 9 movies in hand.

Her next movie ‘Krishna’ will be released on September 28. Moreover, she has enjoyed the company of Comedy Times, Ganesh, who was the hero of Mungaru Male. The same hero has starred in Krishna too, she informed.

Digant, one of the actors in ‘Mungaru Male,’ opined that, Mangaloreans are friendly souls. Actually, he was born at Theerthahalli in Shimoga district and had his early schooling in his native, Theerthahalli. Later, he wanted to study in Sri Bhuvanendra College, Karkala. However, at the last moment, he decided to pursue his studies in Bangalore. This has enabled him to find a slot in sandalwood, he stated to ‘daijiworld.com.’

Digant knows little bit of Tulu, since he grew in his native, Theerthahalli. He has a friendly nature. When commented on his nature, he said, “I am from a remote village, and I prefer simplicity.” Now he is busy with 2 new movies in Kannada.
