Mangalore, Sep 5: OASISCON – 2007 the annual conference of Orthopedic Association of South Indian States (OASIS) will be organized by the Canara Orthopedic Society at Dr T M A Pai International Convention centre here on Friday September 7.

Addressing the media persons Sudhakar Shetty, chairman of the organizing committee informed that the focus of the conference is innovative minimally invasive surgery techniques, total joint replacement, surface hip replacement, and computer aided and robotic surgeries. 

At this conference nearly 800 delegates from five southern states will participate in the three-day event, which will address diverse issues faced by all practicing orthopaedic surgeons. Surgeons of international repute will be participating as resource persons at the conference. 

Ananthakrishna, chairman of Karnataka bank Ltd will inaugurate the conference said Ajit Kumar, secretary. On this occasion four senior orthopaedic surgeons T K Shanmugasundaram, Varghese Chacko, P Rangachary and T V Mariappa will be felicitated on this occasion. Further also on this occasion the best scientific and poster presentation award will be given.
