Mercury dips as chilly winds grip Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow, Jan 16 (IANS): Chilly winds have brought down the mercury across Uttar Pradesh since Friday.

According to the weather office, the weather would remain cold for the next few days, with dense fog and gusty winds. There is no possibility of rain.

As a result of poor visibility due to dense fog, more than two dozen trains are running late on the Northern Railway, North-Central and North-Eastern railways network.

The maximum temperature here on Friday was recorded at 23.3 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature settled at 9.8 degrees Celsius.
