Panaji, Sep 6: On the occasion of the 46th Teacher's Day celebration, Goa Government honoured 5 teachers from Primary, Secondary and Higher Secondary sections for their outstanding work in the field of teaching over the years.

Those honoured were Achala Shinde of Government Primary School-Khorlim Mapusa, Pramod Prabhudesai of Government Primary School- Motidongor Margao, Susan Vaz, Headmistress of Government High School- Ponda, Pradeep Masurkar of District Institue of Education and Training (DIET)-Porvorim and Pushpa Gaitonde of Government Multipurpose High School-Borda Margao.

The Awards were presented by Goa chief minister Digambar Kamat in the presence of director of education Dr Celsa Pinto and education secretary Uddipta Ray at a special ceremony held at the Dinanath Mangueshkar Auditorium of Kala Academy at Panaji.
