Jeddah, Jan 19: Pirsappad 2016, a grand gathering, by the India Fraternity Forum, held at kilo 2 Madhala Hall attracted a large expatriate crowd from in and around the city.
Delivering his presidential speech, India Fraternity Forum, West Region, Karnataka Chapter president Abdul Majeed Vittal conveyed the message of the gathering and spoke about the significance of Unity of Muslims and other backward communities in the light of growing intolerance.
He said, "Growing intolerance in the country is making the lives of minorities and dalits miserable. The government is running with the help of capitalist forces systematically curbing these sections. Communal forces are working hand in gloves with the ruling government for the elimination of secular values from the constitution. Disunity among the minorities will only help these elements."
"All minorities should come together to defeat these forces," he said.
President of IFF, Jeddah, Karnataka chapter, Muhammad Arif Jeddah, welcomed the gathering. ISF eastern region chief secretary Shareef Master, ISF Karnataka eastern region president Ismail Kalladka, proprietor of Shorve Flex Hazim Ali Dabbaz, president of Hidaya Foundation Muhammed Shareef, president of Sulya Jamaath Ibrahim, vice president of Gulbarga Welfare Charitable Sayyed Narsa Khurshid, president of BAMA Muhammad Sadique, secretary of Shahin Group of Company Dr Abdul Khader, president of Man Ki community Jeddah Abdul Sattar and IFF Eastern region secretary Rafiq Matha, Janab Ayyub and others were present on the dais.
Target Guys and Gulf West were conferred with winner and runner trophies respectively of 'Pirsappad Cricket Tournament-2016' which was held prior to the program.
Games and competitions attract the crowd:
The expatriate crowd enjoyed the different fun games and competitions as all these were systematically arranged for men, women and children. Kabaddi tournament was the cynosure of the events while the youth enjoyed the game by active participation. Other fun games like tug of war, sack race and other games were played.
There were kiraat recitation, salad design, mehandi design, sack race and other competitions for women. Children actively participated in competitions like speech, balloon bursting, ball throwing, bucket ball etc.
There was a book exhibition at the entrance of the programme.
Razaq Kalladka, Muhammad Ali Mulur and Abdul Muthalib Padubidri jointly coordinated the program.
