Mangalore, Sep 8: Yenepoya has taken all measures to fulfill its objectives of dispensing health care in an ethical manner, in a humane environment with personalized care till today, stated Dr Muhammad Thahir – director Medical, Yenepoya Hospital to media persons at the hospital premises here, on Saturday, Sept 8.

Addressing the media persons he averred that in order to achieve their dream of becoming a center of excellence, the radiology department will be strengthened and the hospital will be in constant touch with medical consultants. The four departments viz the Centre for kidney diseases, Centre for joint replacement, Centre for neuro surgery, Centre for cranio facial surgery and ENT centre will be added, to better the services available in the hospital.   

Responding to the point on how the hospital is preparing to render social services more effectively, Dr Jagadish – the senior most Nephrologist stated that the hospital is planning to make provisions for a facility for night dialysis on a regular basis. According to him this provision of night dialysis will prove useful for those who have to work during day time, since the dialysis process takes a long time, and hence it is more useful to proceed during nights, moreover it will help in reducing the time required for the said process in days to come, he added.

Knee and hip replacements is the need of the hour, since the replacement gives new lease of life to patients. And keeping the social service aspect in mind, the hospital is trying its best to provide such service at reasonable rates without compromising on quality. Moreover, plans are afoot to seek the service of visiting faculties from other major centers to attend to patients on regular basis, Dr Deepak Rai – Orthopaedic surgeon informed.

Dr Arjun Shetty- Neuro Surgeon briefed media persons with regard to the developments in the field of Neuro surgery; and said a process is on to provide the best service at reasonable rates.
