Jebel Ali (UAE), Sep 9: JEBEL ALI ASSISI KONKANI COMMUNITY (JAKC) celebrated "FEAST OF NATIVITY" of our Blessed Mother Mary on 8th September with Holy Mass in Konkani at 8 PM in the main Church to packed congregation. Fr. Freddy D'Souza our spiritual director from Dubai celebrated the Mass in konkani with a meaningful homily with a comparison to Eve of Old Testament and Mother Mary of new testament.
JAKC followed the Mangalorean tradition by showering the flowers to Mother Mary with the hymn "Moriake Hogalsian" and a number of children took part in showering flowers. In conclusion a sumptuous vegetarian dinner with 7 vegetable items and "Warne" as a dessert was served to all congregation Everyone enjoyed the atmosphere which brought back the memories of home land.
