Mumbai: Draft copies of Beary dictionary handed over to the academy

Mumbai, Jan 27: Prestigious project of Karnataka Sahitya Academy, Beary-Kannada-English dictionary is under preparation for the last 14 months. It's draft copies were handed over to academy president B A
Mohammed Hanif and registrar Umarabba by editor, professor B M Ichangodu, sub editor Abdul Rehman Kuthethooru and Zohra Abbas at a programme held at the academy office.

The draft was prepared with the help of the advisory committee led by professor B A Vivek Rai collecting maximum number of Beary words with Kannada and English meanings. The academy president assured that the
dictionary will be given for printing by September 30 and will be released two months later.

Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy members Hameed Padubidri, K E Dinabba Beary, Yousef Vakthar, A A Ayisha Perla and others were present.
