Mangalore, Sep 9: "With medical colleges and hospitals like Yenepoya; Karnataka has set a classic example and become a role model to other states”, Dr V S Acharya, minister for medical education, said.
He was delivering inaugural address during the launching ceremony of ‘super speciality centres’ held in Yenepoya Hospital, Kodialbail, in the city on Sunday Sep 9.
Appreciating the dedication and commitment of Yenepoya Group, the minister said that hospital ranked above the national average of quality health care services in terms of medical parameters.
The life expectancy has increased over the years in India, while the country is gearing up on health care services by equipped with advanced medical facilities. As the country is fast developing, the health care facilities should reach the poorest of poor in the society, without compromising on quality, he said.
Jagdish, senior most nephrologist, Dr Deepak Rai, orthopaedic surgeon, Dr Arjun Shetty, neuro surgeon explained the facilities available in their departments.
Dr Muhammad Thahir, medical director welcomed the gathering and offered an account of how the hospital is serving the society.
