Mangalore, Sep 10: Noted veteran journalist and president of Prasar Bharthi, M V Kamat was conferred the “Sevanjali Man of the Year” here at the Sevanjali Charitable trust’s annual day celebrations, which was presided over by the executive president of the Corporation Bank, K L Gopalakrishna.
Speaking on the occasion Kamat stated that our communities should not come under the influence of western ideologies and should work for the development of the country’s culture and tradition with respect.
Kamat rued the fact that today’s youngsters are not taking good care of aged people. Youngsters he opined should identify the achievements of the old people.
Moreover on the occasion,“Chittara” was released by him.
President of the trust, D Ved Vyas Kamat, welcomed the gathering. Ganesh Prasad Mallya was the host, while S Umesh Mallya read the certificate of honour. The vote of thanks was proposed by Bindumadhav Shenoy.
