Porvorim, Sep 11: Chief minister Digambar Kamat along with PWD minister Churchill Alemao visited the the hillock at Porvorim which had caused a major landslide some days ago.

Clearing work in progress


As a result of clearing work, traffic moving smoothly at the affected area near the Mandovi bridge circle

The CM inspected the area with Alemao and chief secretary J P Singh and took stock of the present situation. PWD chief engineer Anand Wachasundar explained the possible possible steps and assured that the clearing work would be completed in the next 10 days and the closed stretch of the national highway 17 would be opened up to traffic. As a result of the clearing work taken up by the PWD department on a war footing, traffic flow is becoming normal.
