Mangalore Sep 12: The cluster-level ‘Pratiba Karanji’, was held here at the Dr M Ramanna Shetty Memorial English Medium School ( a unit of the Nitte Education Trust), Tapovana, Thokur on Tuesday September 11.
"Pratiba Karanji" 2007-08 was inaugurated by Ranganatha Shetty, president of taluk panchayat and the function was presided over by Prof Rajashekhar Manjunath, the registrar of Nitte Education Trust.
The chief guest on the occasion was Gunapala Shetty, trustee of Sri Subrahmanya temple, Thokur was also present on the occasion.
In all around twenty competitions to gauge, the talents of the participants were conducted including solo and group events for the students of classes 1 to 4. Around 500 students participated in the competitions. After the morning events lunch was served to the participants, staff and the guests. The lunch was sponsored by Gunapala Shetty, the trustee of Sri Subrahmanya temple, Thokur.
The results of the competitions were announced in the evening. The prizes were distributed to the winners by Venkatesh Pai, the cluster co-ordinator and by CRP Shantha Kumari.
