Channing Tatum, Gordon-Levitt join hands for film

Los Angeles, Feb 6 (IANS): Hollywood stars Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt have teamed up for a yet-untitled musical comedy.

The project is based on an original idea from Michael Bacall and Gordon-Levitt. Bacall will write the screenplay of the project backed by Universal Studios, reports hollywoodreporter.com.

The pair first worked together when Gordon-Levitt starred in “Manic”, a drama Bacall co-wrote and acted in. Bacall also worked with Tatum on the “21 Jump Street”.

Marc Platt and Adam Siegel will produce for Marc Platt Productions as will Tatum and his partners Reid Carolin and Peter Kiernan for their Free Association company.

Gordon-Levitt will also produce with his hitRECord Films.

All the other details are being kept under under wraps, but the project is described as an R-rated musical comedy featuring two pilots on a misadventure.
