London, Sep 13: A Buckinghamshire couple went back in time for their wedding by paying £30,000 on a medieval marriage ceremony. Bride Sian Jenkins, 26, arrived riding side saddle on a white mare in a dress made from 270 feet of silk, reports the Daily Mail.

And her groom, Rupert Hammerton-Fraser, 40, wore a full suit of armour—£10,000 of hand-forged steel trimmed with brass and velvet.

The couple, from High Wycombe, and their guests drank and danced the night away at a medieval banquet before waking up to another day of historical events. The bride said: “ Since I was 15, I have a passion for medieval history.”
