Cong levels graft charges against AAP minister

New Delhi, Feb 10 (DHNS): The Aam Aadmi Party government on Tuesday found itself in the midst of another controversy just before completing one year in office.

The Delhi Congress has alleged that its Environment and Food Minister Imran Husain has been indulging in corrupt practices by seeking bribes for regularising illegal constructions in his constituency, Ballimaran.

Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee head Ajay Maken made public a sting operation video which shows a conversation between the alleged food minister’s aide Hammad and a builder Kasim. Few months ago Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had sacked the former Environment and Food Minister Asim Ahmed Khan on charges of corruption.

Challenging the veracity of the video, the AAP government termed it a fake sting. “Imran (food minister) has already said that Ajay Maken has taken money for showing a fake sting. If Ajay Maken proves the allegations Imran will quit politics,” said AAP government’s spokesperson.

The alleged video shows Hammad entering an office-like room being greeted by the so-called builder Kasim. From there onwards only Hammad could be seen in the video, but Kasim could be heard throughout. The alleged sting operation shows Hammad asking the builder to sort out a matter with the minister as he was miffed over it. The alleged complainant says, “For 60-65 yard place he (the minister) is demanding Rs 30 lakh.”

exposing corruption or corrupt personnel is really good thing for the society to eradicate the evil from society and for good governance. But in this particular case is something different, trying to pull someone's leg or just for political gimmick.

Whoever, it may be, whether it could be panchayat member, corporator, Minister, prime minister or president, while in power they do not do any good or not opening their mouth to oppose fearing they may lose their chair and income. Once they are not in power they try to digout others grave and give every idea.

This is practice of every political party. Couple of day ago, our great Modi's was blaming opposition for blocking the progress, whereas the same people were in the opposition who tried every possibilities to avoid and boycotted several session in the parliament.

Which politician is concerned about the countries progress / development?
