HP unveils new ink tank series for low cost printing


New Delhi, Feb 11 (IANS): Hewlett-Packard (HP) on Thursday unveiled the new HP DeskJet GT series -- wireless printers with ink tanks that can print thousands of pages in an efficient and low cost way.

"The new HP DeskJet GT series makes high quality and reliable printing more affordable, making printing and ink refill easy and fuss-free for small businesses that constantly look out for innovation that can reduce cost and minimise disruption to their work," Parikshet Singh Tomar, country category leader (HP Inc. India) said in a statement. 

The new series has two printers -- HP Deskjet GT 5820 all-in-one printer that is priced at Rs.14,670 and HP Deskjet GT 5810 all-in-one printer which is available for Rs.13,041.

The HP DeskJet GT series prints up to 8,000 pages with a set of three HP spill free colour bottles and up to 5,000 pages with the HP spill-free black pigment ink bottle out of the box.

Each ink bottle is available for Rs.498. The inks are formulated to deliver sharp text, vibrant graphics and photos that resist water and fading.

The printers enable users to connect the printer with devices including iPhone and iPad using AirPrint, or smartphones and tablets running on Android and Windows.
