Beltangady, Feb 15: In a sad incident, a youth lost his life in an accident at Keddu, Aladangady in Venur here Monday February 15.

The deceased has been identified as Hitesh Shetty (20), son of Rakesh and Vedavaty Shetty.

The accident occured when the bike Hitesh was riding collided with a WagonR car.

Santhosh (22) of Nala, who was sitting pillion, sustained serious injuries and has been admitted to hospital.

Hitesh was student of Beltangady First Grade College.

Some years ago, Hitesh's parents had lost their daughter after she was hit by a vehicle while crossing the road. Now, this accident has snatched away their son too, leaving them childless.

Beltangady MLA Vasanth Bangera visited the mortuary where Hitesh's body has been kept.

As news of accident spread, hundreds of students also gathered at the mortuary.

    belthangady is my husband family home. I will pray for the parents who have to endure such tragic loss.I can visualise the roads there and the rash driving. I feel so much for the parents. I feel so bad.

    O God,what to say?words fail .Only say may the God give parents enough strength to overcome their Grieve .Heartfelt sympathy to them.May his Soul rest in peace.Having a vehicle is nt bad.but during drive only certain precautions too are important.This applys other Drivers also.Here it Looks like a van had overtaken the truck been too far right ,hit the bike.Noone has time to drive according to rules.must overtake without looking right and left and thinking of someones life and self.That causes others life like here.RIP.

    RIP.. Nowadays youngsters wants to fly in bikes n car.. Driving speed is not bad but rash is harmful to both driver/rider n parents waiting at home.. Please young boys learn from these type accidents n keep calm while driving

    First of all RIP to the youngster.

    Then:
    to parents of children, including my brothers and sisters who so happily purchase a two wheeler for their children

    1). Every so often Daiji reports a two wheeler related death of at least 1 youth.

    2). Most of the dead youth are the only son or the only child of parents who sadly have crossed into their fifties.

    3). The death rates for youth by two wheelers may surpass the combined death rates of all possible other causes, including drowning.

    4). A person driving a four wheeler can also die in an accident however the chances of survival for a two wheeler rider in an accident with another vehicle is very remote considering that the rider's whole body is exposed. Even if he/she is wearing a helmet the person could die of a broken neck due to the weight of the helmet.

    5). The recklessness and speed combined at which the two wheelers are driven transform it into a deadly weapon.

    7). The manufacturers of these two wheelers happily portray in all their advertisements the economics and speed of their death machines without warning the viewers of the dangers of driving these at high speed.

    All said and done a two wheeler although very economical exposes its riders to grave risks at all times.

    Use the city bus instead, it may not be clean, it may not be comfortable and it could get into an accident however, the threat to life may not be as grave as that from riding a two wheeler.

    I am very sad to hear that both children s life lost due to accidents. How cruel it is. May God Give them strength to bear one more loss.
    Its extremely risky now a days to ride bike in our roads and we have to think twice before we start the bike whether do we need to use bike or not.

    TRAFFIC POLICE HAVE TO TAKE SERIOUS ABOUT THIS HEAVY VEHICLE .

    MANY OF YOUTH LOST THEIR LIFE IN BIKE
    WE CANNOT BLAME THE HEAVY VEHICLE ALSO WE NEED TO CONDUCT IN EVERY COLLEGES AND SCHOOL ABOUT DRIVING AND HOW TO DRIVE SLOWLY... AND SAFE...

    This is heart wrenching incident.Parents lost both children.really sad and unfortunate.R I P Hitesh.Two wheelers are the biggest killers in mangalore and udupi districts. every day there are one or two incidents and that too youngsters. still why the parents, traffic department do not wake up.why parents cannot control giving 2 wheeler to teenagers and youngsters.Believe it or not one person in every four families in Mangalore and udupi have either seriously injured or died in two wheeler accident. Good statistic for smart city.

    REST IN PACE.very tragic and sad incident.helmet looks strong BUT QUESTION IS WHETHER HE WORE OR NOT.TWO CHILDREN LOST DUE TO VEHICLE MAY BE GOD TESTING THE PARENT OF THE DECEASED.MAY GOD GIVE STRENGTH TO OVERCOME THE GRIEF OF TWO LOVED ONE.
