Udupi, Sep 16: A truck that was cruising towards the outskirts of the city at full speed, lost control and rolled over near Muloor, on the national highway here on Sunday, September 16.
The truck was carrying crates of fresh fish from the city. The rash and irresponsible driver of the huge vehicle due to over speeding, lost control over the vehicle which then turned turtle on the road.
The crates filled with fish that was placed on the back-side of the truck flew out and splattered all over the road due to the impact of the truck overturning. Thereafter, the entire stretch of the National Highway 17 was blocked for traffic for over an hour for cleaning up operations.
The stinking fish splattered all over the highway, took a lot of time to be cleared from the accident site.
Fortunately the driver and cleaner of the truck managed to escape with minor injuries.
