Udupi, Sep 17:  The paintings of fibre Ganapathi made by Vishveshwara Parkala at Amanthran hotel auditorium was inaugurated by the well-known educationist and president of the Alva’s foundation Dr Mohan Alva, here recently. This art exhibition was dedicated to artist the late Jaydeva.

Speaking on the occasion after the inauguration ceremony, Dr Alva touching on the religious sensitivity of an artist stated that every artist in one form or the other surrenders himself to Lord Ganapathi and in this matter a painter is no exception. Artists being well aware of the fact that without drawing Ganapathi, their painting is incomplete, and therefore we find most artists depicting Ganapathi through their arts, informed Dr Alva.  

Moreover since this exhibition was dedicated to artist Jaydeva, executive editor U B Rajalakshmi explained the great contribution made to art by him. According to Rajalakshmi, artist Vishveshwara Parkala has explained his artistic relationship with Jayadeva.

Art exhibition should not be limited only to exhibition (halls) rather it should try to reveal new thoughts only then can awareness regarding art will arise within people, declared Rajalakshmi.
 
Dr Sathyanarayan, principal of the Muniyal Ayurved College, R D Shastri, auditor along with others were present on the occasion.
 
Artist Vishweshvara Parkala welcomed the gathering, while Natraj proposed the vote of thanks.
