Rainy morning in Delhi


New Delhi, Feb 18 (IANS): Light rainfall was witnessed in Delhi and the national capital region on Thursday morning.

Till 8.30 a.m., 1.8 mm rainfall was recorded, the weather office said.

The minimum temperature settled at 15 degrees Celsius, four notches above the season's average making it month's warmest day, the weather office said.

"The sky would generally remain cloudy in the day. Very light rain is likely to occur in the morning/forenoon in many areas of the capital," an official of the India Meteorological Department said.

The maximum temperature will hover around 24 degrees Celsius.

The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 96 percent while the visibility at the same time stood at 1000 metres.

Wednesday's maximum temperature was 25.6 degrees Celsius, a notch above this time of the season while the minimum temperature was recorded 10.3 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average.
