One killed as tree falls in college campus

Thrissur (Kerala), Feb 18 (IANS): A girl student was killed and five others were injured when a tree, uprooted by heavy winds, fell on a group of students in a college in Kerala, officials said.

The incident occurred on Thursday morning at Sree Krishna College at Guruvayoor near here. The college was the venue of the Kozhikode University Youth Festival and there were many students in the campus then.

The condition of two of the injured was said to be serious.
