Taylor Swift supports Kesha with $250,000 donation

New York, Feb 22 (IANS): Singer Taylor Swift has come out in support of Kesha by donating $250,000 to help her with financial needs.

Kesha accused her producer Dr. Luke of abusing her and demanded to be released from her recording contract with the producer. On February 19, New York Supreme Court Justice Shirley Kornreich denied her request because of the lack of medical evidence related to the singer's assault allegations, reports aceshowbiz.com.

Swifts's representative confirmed: "In a show of support, Taylor Swift has donated $250,000 to Kesha to help with any of her financial needs during this trying time."

"Blah Blah Blah" singer's mother, Pebe Sebert, also confirmed the news on Twitter.

"Taylor Swift has just generously donated $250,000 to Kesha, as a show of support during this difficult time. AMAZING!! A persons wealth is not measured by what they have but by WHO they help with it. And Taylor Swift is a truly Rich Person. Thank you," she wrote.

Ever since the decision was made, a lot of global celebrities, including Swift, showed their supports for the "Tik Tok" singer.

Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Kelly Clarkson and Iggy Azalea were among those who sent positive messages to support Kesha.
