India-Pakistan train service restored

Lahore, Feb 25 (IANS): The India-Pakistan Samjhauta Express resumed plying on Thursday, after being suspended for some days due to the violent street protests in Haryana, the media reported.

The train, with a capacity of up to 500 passengers, runs between Delhi and Lahore. Duniya News said the train left the Pakistani city on Thursday morning.

Train and bus services between India and Pakistan were suspended following widespread protests by the Jat community in Haryana. On Wednesday, the bus service resumed operations.
