Mangaluru: Speeding car hits scooters at Babbukatte, one serious

Mangaluru, Feb 25: A serial accident, which took place at Babbukatte near Ullal, has resulted in serious injury of a person.



The injured person is Robin (25) from Kapikad, who was riding the scooter. He has been admitted to a private hospital.

The Maruti Swift car, which was coming towards Mangaluru from Deralakatte, hit a scooter which was on the opposite direction at Babbukatte. The car hit another scooter subsequently. In the process, Robin, who was riding one of these two scooters, sustained injuries on his head. Locals immediately rushed Robin to a private hospital where he is taking treatment. His condition is serious.

Locals said that overspeeding by the driver of the car was the reason for the accident. Ullal police have registered a case.

    SPEEDING KILLS. This is what happened in this accident. The Maruti Swift car must have been speeding when it hit two scooters. I wish a speedy recovery of Robin.

    All motor companies advertising about their vehicle speed , grip etc. but none advertise about, what will happen in the time of accident!!! I wish they advertise these things also.

    I do agree with you partially.

    But we have to think why they used to speed up vehicles?

    It is simple... Our Traffic department is not doing enough to control the traffic system.

    Traffic offence no body cares , coz they know nothing will happen to break the Traffic rules.

    Department always crying we don't have enough man power?

    But what the existing team is doing?

    Transport minister never bother to consult & take proper steps.

    Days are nearing in Karnataka Karavali, the people will die like street dogs on roads. We will see helplessly if this traffic system continue like this.
