22 prominent artists, photographers donate works for special children


New Delhi, Mar 1 (IANS): Twenty-two prominent artists and photographers, among them Anjolie Ela Menon and Raghu Rai, have come together for Art Reflect 2016, an annual charity show fundraiser for Udaan, a non-profit foundation for children with autism, mental retardation and cerebral palsy.

The artists will donate their prime works which will then be auctioned to raise money for Udaan's activities.

Art Reflect is an initiative by award-winning architect Nilanjan Bhowal, recipient of awards for heritage conservation, who is bringing together these artists and special children for a social cause.

Among the participants in the event at the Visual Art Gallery, India Habitat Centre, March 7-9 (preview on March 7) are Anjolie Ela Menon, Ashok Dilwali, B.M. Kamath, Chandra Bhattacharjee, Farhad Hussain, G.R. Iranna, Jagannath Panda, Jai Zharotia, Jayasri Burman, Jogen Chowdhury, K.S. Radhakrishnan, Madhvi Parekh, Manisha Parekh, Manu Parekh, P.R. Daroz, Paresh Maity, Raghu Rai, Rajeev Lochan, Rammeshwar Broota, Rabin Mandal, Veer Munshi and Yuriko Lochan.
