Kundapur: 24-year-old girl suffering from prolonged illness ends life

Kundapur, Mar 1: A graduate girl, apparently depressed in life, committed suicide at Hosapete near Trasi in Gangolli police station limits on Tuesday morning, March 1.

The deceased is Prathima (24), daughter of late Madhava Mogaveera and Akkamma Mogaveera from Hosapete.

Prathima is said to have been suffering from an ailment for the last four years and was not receiving any marriage proposals due to it. Disappointed by this, she hanged herself from the fan in her bedroom on Tuesday morning between 5.30 am and 6.30 am when the others in the house were sleeping.

Prathima's elder brother and younger brother who observed that she did not come out from the room even after a long time, broke the room door and came to know of her suicide.

A police case stands registered in Gangolli police station.

    I wish someone had told her, being a girl, marriage is not everything in life. There are many who live a comfortable life being unmarried, and many married ones going thru nightmare.

    Do not watch the petals fall
    From the rose with sadness
    Things sometimes are made to fade
    But tomorrow a new rose blooms again.

    A sad news. Prathima, may your rest in eternal peace and may God give her mother, brothers and all her loved ones, comfort and solace. You being a graduate and educated, should not have taken such a drastic step. You could have got someone later on to be your life partner. But it was your destiny.

    Sad.she was only 24years.may her Soul rest in peace.It was certainly a sad time for her parents to see her suffering and People showing finger to them and now this sad and hard end of her.Heartfelt sympathy to Family.
