Kasargod: Caller claims bomb planted on tracks - Mangaluru-Kannur train services hit

Kasargod, Mar 2: Train services on Mangaluru-Kannur (Kerala) route were hit on Wednesday March 2 after an unidentified caller claimed that there was a bomb in one of the tracks on the route.

The call was made to Kasargod police on Wednesday night, and immediately all trains in various stations were halted.

The police along with bomb disposal squads are inspecting the railway tracks, stations and various other places.

The caller claimed that a bomb had been placed on the Kalnad-Talangere railway track.

Mangala Express to Kanhangad, Egmore Express to Kotikulam, Kachiguda Express train and others have been stopped at Kasargod railway station and inspection is on.

Meanwhile, the police are trying to trace the number from which the call was made and the identity of the caller.
