Udupi: Bullet Tanker Overturns on Pangala Bridge Charring Two to Death

Udupi, Sep 22: Two persons were charred to death near Pangala Bridge when LPG transporting tanker overturned in the small hours of Saturday September 22.
The deceased are the driver and cleaner of the ill-fated tanker. The tanker went off the road and overturned Pangala Bridge as the driver lost control over the vehicle. Owing to leakage in diesel tank, tanker immediately caught fire and gutted.
Even LPG in the tanker leaked out and even the trees near the road caught fire and charred to ashes. The cleaner of the tanker tried to escape from the tanker by jumping outside. But he could not go far as huge flames of fire engulfed him.
However, the deceased have not yet been identified. Fire fighters from Udupi and Kaup struggled for 4 hours to bring the fire into control.
