SC notice to CBI on Delhi government plea

New Delhi, Mar 4 (IANS): The Supreme Court on Friday issued notice to the CBI on a plea by the Delhi government seeking the return of documents that the investigating agency had taken from the office of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal following a raid.

The apex court bench headed by Justice Ranjan Gogoi issued notice on the Delhi government's plea challenging the Delhi High Court order putting on hold the lower court direction to the CBI to hand over the documents to the Delhi government that it had seized from the chief minister's office.

The CBI had taken into its possession the documents from the office of one of the officers attached to Kejriwal's office during a raid in the wake of the allegations of wrong doing on the part of the said officer.
