Mangaluru, Mar 4: Marian Projects Pvt Ltd. in collaboration with Mallcom India celebrated the National Safety Day on Friday, March 4 at the construction site of Marian Promenade, Kadri Kambala. The initiative was conducted as part of the National Safety Day/Week Campaign, celebrated across India every year under the National Safety Council to enhance the safety awareness among people. The theme for this year’s celebration was to ‘Strengthen the Safety movement to Achieve Zero Harm’.
Presiding the event were Ujwal D’souza, Director - O & A, Marian Projects; Srinivas, Proprietor - Induscare Equipments; Rana Das, General Manager Marketing– Mallcom India and Safety Consultants Norbert Rodriguez & Ashok Kumar. Over 150 on-site workers, staff and safety personnel’s of Marian Projects Pvt. Ltd. were trained in Precautions and Safety practices for Fire Safety, Fall Protection and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as Safety Helmets, Harness, Hand Gloves, Dust Mask, Safety Boots and Safety Goggles. A Fire Safety Drill was also conducted on the site to teach the workers on immediate fire relief measures and use of Fire Extinguishers.
Speaking on the occasion, Ujwal D'souza, Director- O & A of Marian Projects Pvt. Ltd said "We give importance to safety of workers everyday in our company. Our workers hail from different parts of the country and are here away from families, it is our duty to look after the safety of our workers. So I call upon every worker to work with safety measures and remain safe from dangers."
Speaking on the occasion Rana Das, Marketing Head of Mallcom safety consultants said "We are celebrating the Safety day today. But, Safety practices should be an everyday ritual. There cannot be life without safety. We are in danger every moment in life. One must be thankful to Marian Projects, as the safety training is given in only a few companies today"
Marian Projects cares for its internal customers/ employees and always practiced the safety culture at its workplace and in its every project. Since its inception, every project site has been employed with Safety Officers who overlook the site and maintain the highest safety standards. The worker camps and sites are provided with Safety tools along with regular training camps and talks on the use and up-gradation of safety equipments, sanitation and hygiene. It is therefore that this safety awareness camp comes naturally to the company.
