Mangalore: Roshni Students Hold Interactive Session for Migratory Workers

Mangalore, Sep 23: The migratory workers at Bolar here had a memorable day participating in an interactive programme with the students of School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya on Sunday September 23.
The programme was organized by 'Prerna' a team of MSW students of Roshni Nilaya in association with M-Far Contructions and Mangaluru Nagara Parisarasaktha Okkuta (MNPO). Principal of the college Jacintha D'Souza inaugurated the programme.
The inauguration was followed by an interactive session with the workers by lecturer of the college Evelyn Denis. She stressed on the importance of education and awareness on health. She also urged them to form youth groups with the help of MSW students and work together for the welfare of migratory workers.
A majority of the workers were migrants from Kolkata, Orissa and Bihar.
A skit by the students led by Lokesh laid stress on the need for working in unity.
The programme ended with games and activities for men, women and children.
Among those present were Suresh Shetty of MNPO, Ashok D'Souza of Roshni Nilaya and others.
