Amit Shah wants to see BJP as key force in south

Rajamahendravaram (Andhra Pradesh), March 6 (IANS): BJP president Amit Shah on Sunday said that he wants the party to emerge as a key force in the electoral battle in south India.

Addressing a public meeting in Rajamahendravaram, as Rajahmundry is now called, he said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) should spread to all regions of the country.

"Modiji has given slogan of Congress-free country. If we have to free the country from Congress, we have to ensure that be it north, south, west and everywhere region, the BJP flag should fly high and 'vande mataram' slogan is sung," he said.

In Andhra Pradesh, where BJP is a partner in Telugu Desam Party-led government, this was the first public meeting of BJP after state's bifurcation.

He asked BJP workers to take the party to every village and booth in the state and strengthen the organisation. "Those who say that BJP is a party of the north should know that the party unit in Andhra Pradesh is the strongest in the country," he said.

He claimed that the BJP which started with 11 only members, is today the largest party in the world with 11 crore strong membership.

The BJP chief said that though there are NDA governments at both the centre and in the state, their political rivals are making a false propaganda that the BJP-led government at the Centre is not extending necessary support to Andhra Pradesh.

During the last one-and-half years, Modi government has given schemes worth Rs.1.40 lakh crore to Andhra Pradesh, he said.

Stating that Polavaram project is the lifeline of the state, the BJP leader said it was Modi government which is making it a reality by merging seven 'mandals' (of Telangana) with Andhra Pradesh.

He said the state was selected under the project to ensure 24x7 electricity in every village. Listing out the initiatives, he said national highway works worth Rs. 65,000 crore were sanctioned for the state.

Shah said Kakinada and Visakhapatnam were selected under smart cities project while the central government also released Rs.1,500 crore as initial assistance for development of new state capital Amaravati.

He said an industrial park at a cost of Rs.22,000 crore will come up in the state. HPCL refinery in Visakhapatnam will be built at a cost of Rs.25,000.

He said it would take seven days for him to read the entire list of works sanctioned for the state during last one-and-half years.

Shah challenged Congress party to explain to people what it did for Andhra Pradesh during last 60 years. He alleged that the Congress insulted the state and this forced N. T. Rama Rao to launch the TDP for self-respect of Telugus.

Interestingly, NTR's daughter and former central minister D. Purandareswari was translating Shah's speech in Telugu.

She quit Congress party to join BJP on the eve of 2014 elections.

"he said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) should spread to all regions of the country" Yes along with the policy of hatred. Mr. Shah, now you want to spread to South, is it because you lost Dehli and Bihar already and going to loose few other northern states?? People of south are not fools like north , though we have few in DK and Udupi districts but the educated ones can see your poisonous colour under your saffron brigade.

Actually in Lok Sabha elections Modi got vote because of anti incumbency factor and bad governance of INC led UPA-II
But, Modi thought he got votes on his charisma and speeches.
After getting power, he was confused, didn't know how to run centre, so frequently flied abroad.
Finally, when started loosing in Delhi and later in Bihar,he realised that Bhashans are not enough to get votes, need to work also.
But the problem is he speaks more than he works!
His former company Hardliners are hijacking his agenda of development.

The RSS and the Sangh Parivar are neither the official custodians of Hinduism nor are they the official protectors of Hindus in India. So they should not behave as if they are so. Hinduism and Hindus have stood the test of time over thousands of years and have gained popularity and credibility globally. Therefore, the RSS and Sangh Parivar are requested not to tamper with that so as to bring disrepute to the country. Remember that overseas to a large extent India and Indians are identified with Hinduism and Hindus. So any bad name to one affects the other and vice versa. We are Indians and we deeply care about the image and name of our country within India and overseas too.
One more thing, the RSS and Sangh Parivar do not have any patent rights over what the definition of Indian nationalism or patriotism should be. That is defined only by owing of full allegiance to the Constitution of India. As Kanhaiya said in his prison release speech - "The constitution of India is not a video which can be doctored".

After causing havoc in north, starting from U.P.
BJP wants to play dominant role in South India.
Do people interested to similar havoc in the south also?
Rowdyism, woman beatings, Gangwars, hooliganism, Landlords dominance, castewars are few the specialties of north!
After fueling the fire in north, Let BJP try to better the life of common man first in north before venturing to south!

By making false promises and thinking high will not change the position of any party. Amit Shah talks big but he has no weight in any of his speeches. First he should improve his own state that is North India and then make false promises and talks.

My opinion : As long as Rahul is there in the center and Siddhu in the state as congress leaders, this is an easy task for BJP. I was just looking at the poll taken by Times of India about noteworthy speeches this week among Modi, Kanhaiya abd Rahul Gandi. RG is not in picture at all! Unless congress change the leadership now, it will be never. People will always excuse BJP even no development in this country as people have the perception that RG is an incapable leader. One should be capable of delivering an effective speech and development plans.

That is exactly what the BJP-Sangh Parivar combine want people to believe i.e. Rahul is incompetent so get rid of the Congress party. However, that is exactly how they get us fooled because my belief is that the BJP-Sangh Parivar combine's ultimate goal is too get rid of India's secular credentials. It is secular mukht Bharat that they aim for and Congress mukht Bharat is just the first step towards that goal. Even if the Congress party put up another leader the BJP-Sangh Parivar combine would find some other way to discredit him/her. So irrespective of Rahul's acceptability or not do not get fooled into believing what the BJP-Sangh Parivar combine say. BTW they have already succeeded to some extent in making Congress supporters believe this by making it a contest of personalities. Remember in our parliamentary form of democracy unlike the US's presidential form of democracy it is political parties that contest against each other not personalities. However, the BJP succeeded in changing people's perception of this in the last LS elections which is a major reason for their success. They made people believe it was a Rahul Vs Modi show and to this day they hold on to that strategy to divert attention from their failures and non performance from the public.

Your calculator has no battery, it is like the BJP rocket which is flying downwards without fuel.

Did you read about the recent U.P. election? Amith Shaw got now the outline for his final political sermons.

The S.P. who got the vast majority, are they Muslims-Christians-Sikh or Buddhists?
The Majority are Hindus. 65% of the Hindus, and now the percentage is adding up every day are totally opposed to the Gujarat Imperialism. Name the leaders of the various non-BJP parties in India, they are all led by the Hindus, except a few States like Nagaland and Mizoram etc.

BJP used the Hindu religious card in a democracy, and now they are going to feel the pain for misusing the religious card to bluff the electorate.

Majority of Hindus are NOT with you Amit Shah but majority of Sanghis and Sangh Parivar members certainly are.
Amit Shah was trying to polarize Hindu votes but has succeeded only in polarizing Sangh Parivar votes nothing else. Hence the tight kick in Delhi and Bihar Assembly elections.

He has political hyper allergy in the north, east and the west so the final relief is the South. But he will be getting more allergic attacks from the South, thus political oxygen cylinder may be carrying along with his weight. He is Mr. Modi's right hand, worked together as the Home Minister of Gujarat now the Vishnu of the BJP as elated by Uma Bharathi last year.
