Dr. Luke not a good person: Kelly Clarkson

Los Angeles, March 7 (IANS): Former "American Idol" winner Kelly Clarkson, who collaborated with Dr. Luke on her hits like "Since you been gone" and "Behind the hazel eyes", has slammed the music producer, saying "he is not a good person".

Clarkson's comments came amidst the ongoing controversy around singer Kesha's sexual abuse claims against Luke.

"Her (Kesha) experience was different to mine. Her fans are like, 'Why don't you stick up for her?' but I wasn't there," Clarkson said in an interview, reports aceshowbiz.com.

"I'll be honest about the guy (Luke), but I don't know that situation. He's not a good person, to me. We have clashed," she added.

On why she collaborated with him despite disliking him, Clarkson revealed that she was forced to do it by her label.

"I only worked with him because literally I was blackmailed by my label," she said, and claimed that her label threatened they would not release her album if she didn't work with him.

After a judge last month refused to release Kesha from her contract with Luke's Kemosabe Records, which is a subsidiary of Sony Music, a number of fellow musicians showed support to Kesha on social media.
