Two killed in West Bengal bomb explosion


Kolkata, Mar 8 (IANS): At least two people were killed and as many injured in crude bomb explosion in West Bengal's Murshidabad district on Tuesday, police said.

The explosion occurred in Bharatpur area in the early hours of the day.

"They were making bombs when some of these went off, killing two people. Two others have sustained injuries," superintendent of police C. Sudhakar said.

While residents have alleged the involvement of activists of ruling Trinamool Congress in the incident, police have not commented on the political affiliations of those killed or injured.
