Karnataka's First home-grown Channel 'Kasthuri' Set to get off Blocks

Bangalore, Sep 25: Kasthuri is the first Kannada Family entertainment and News TV Channel in Kannada, promoted by a Kannadiga. A truly homegrown Channel, in terms of vision and mission, Kasthuri, is the youngest channel to be off blocks, come September 26, 2007. Anitha Kumaraswamy, wife of the present CM Kumaraswamy, spearheads Kasthuri in capacity of Chairperson & MD.
Conceived and put together to be the Kannadigara's very own channel, reflecting the fables, mores and culture of various regions of the state, Kasthuri will be the arena, where the Kannadiga who's who from celluloid, small screen and theatre will all be at their very best says Mark Balaajee, the COO of Kasthuri.
Nagabharana, Nagthalli Chandrasekhar, Vaisali Kaasaravalli, TN Sitaram.. Ramesh Aravind, Guru Kiran, Sandeep Chowta and the likes will all play their key roles to ensure that the Kannadiga viewers get to see the best under their own banner- Kasthuri.
Endowed with strong ground distribution network in Amogh Broadband services, the entire state of Karnataka will be accessible to Kasthuri right from the day one and that too in the Prime band.
Kasthuri will be telecast from INSAT 4a and will be digital from end to end.
State-of-art technology in form of Teleport, related logistics, DSNG/OB vans etc will make Kasthuri to be the most modern and fully provided for TV Channel right from day one.
News in Kasthuri will be purveyed by a strong and dedicated and young team of ENG professionals & journalists, well networked across the state and other critical centers like New Delhi. News will be on air from the day one and will be sensitive to needs of people and is objective and will be completely apolitical in nature.
