Mangalore, Sep 26: The power sub-stations which are under construction in the city is expected to be complete within 10 months from the commencement of the project, informed MLA N Yogish Bhat while speaking to media persons here on Tuesday September 25.
The sub-stations which are being constructed at Alake, Kadri, Bejai and Nandigudde will provide sufficient power supply to the city as well as the surrounding areas, Bhat added.
Around Rs 208 crore allocated to development works is being undertaken within Mangalore City Corporation limits, Bhat stated. The development projects include 800 kilometers of new pipeline for drinking water under KUDCEMP – ADB scheme, underground drainage facility, road concretization and infrastructure, he added.
Further according to Bhat, the coalition government has released Rs 28 crore for road development in the city and Rs 2 crore for construction of a Mini Vidhana Soudha in the city.
Moreover Bhat referring to the irregularities in the 2003-04 audit report of the Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) declared that Congress party which ruled the city corporation was corrupt.
